A Bit About Me

Hi I'm Andy and I am a highly experienced Head of Physics in private education with over 25 years teaching experience.

My typical grades are 8/9 for GCSE and A for A level.

I teach Physics, Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Astronomy. I have also lots of experience teaching students with autism and ADHD.

I have a calm but focused approach to tutoring, tailoring the content to suit the student. I have taught all the different exam boards and have contributed to the evaluation of the exam papers.

I teach what the students need to know to pass the exams. I focus on the questions that typically always come up and reinforce the skills both practical and mathematical that are required to achieve the best grades. I have successfully tutored many students typically improving the current working at grade by two or more grades.

I am a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and researched Super Nova remnants at the world famous Jodrell Bank.

I love physics, maths and science in general. I have a huge amount of enthusiasm for the subjects and endeavor to instill that love of science and maths in my students.

As I worked as a research lecturer before going into full time teaching I have the ability to put the science and maths into context and show it as an evolving discipline.
